Obi announced his visit to Anambra in a post on his official Twitter handle.

He asked his supporters to vote for candidates of the party in the state assembly election on Saturday.

Anambra is one of the six states — Edo, Osun, Bayelsa, Ekiti, Kogi, and Imo — where only state assembly elections will hold.

I arrived in Anambra state this morning. This is another great opportunity to thank the Obidients, and ask them to go out en masse and support LP candidates,” Obi said.

“Let’s put a defining and authoritative seal on the broad mandate that the Labour Party received on 25th February.”
